Connections Centre Campaign Success

Connections Centre Campaign Success

On the 14th of February 2021 Street Soccer Academy marked ten years as a UK Registered Charity and are planning a number of events throughout the year to celebrate the occasion. We would like to invite friends and supporters to join us by engaging in events, either in person when this is possible later in the year, or by joining in the online conversation taking place on our social media platforms. Presentations over the year will look at some of the successes of the last decade, highlighting the impact made in the lives of many individuals in the region and additionally feature some of the individuals, companies and organisations who have provided support along the way, making many memorable moments whist undertaking our work

To start the year of celebration we launched a campaign to raise funds to kit out a Connections Centre which would enable us to provide one-to-one help for our services users in establishing vital connections into their community. Thanks to everyone who donated to the campaign, run in association with the Aviva Community Fund. 35 supporters donated a total of £1400 (including Gift-Aid) and this will be a massive help in helping us provide a first-class service through the Connections Centre at our brand new HQ, which we are due to occupy as soon as Coronavirus lockdown restrictions permit. Your kind donations will enable us to fulfil our objectives of delivering excellence, generating hope, providing dignity and fuelling ambition.

We want to say a huge ‘thank you’ to everyone who supported our campaign. Further updates on the outcomes will be published later this year through our website and social media channels, together with images of the Connections Centre itself.

The next event in our year of celebration will launch in the next two weeks so please keep an eye on our website & social media channels to see if you can get involved.
