Coach Education & Personal Development Courses in Community
Street Soccer Academy deliver short to medium-term courses in partnership with local agencies providing opportunities to engage in our Coach Education & Personal Development Programme for a specified period. Learning is accredited by AQA and provides work-related and personal skills development for a bespoke period dependant on the requirements of our delivery partners. Courses can range from one day per week for four consecutive weeks upto 12 weeks on a full-time basis.
The Street Soccer Academy Coach Education & Personal Development Programme is delivered by FA qualified coaches and supervised by UEFA ‘A’ Licensed staff with previous experience of tutoring on behalf of the FA and professional football clubs.
Content of the course can be tailored to suit the needs of learners with a variety of personal development modules available (Effective Communication, Action Planning, Building Empathy, Handling Conflict) combined with practical modules related to planning, delivering and evaluating age appropriate football coaching drills. During the course learners will be supported in acquiring the
EE Playmaker by England Football
an entry level course for those interested in taking an active role in football.
Although the Street Soccer Academy Coach Education & Personal Development Programme does see learners go on to take up roles with other football clubs and schemes, the transferable skills and disciplines are a valuable asset in securing employment, training and voluntary work from a wide variety of sectors. For those who have experienced significant periods of unemployment the Street Soccer Academy Coach Education & Personal Development Programme can act as a positive indicator of work readiness, demonstrating a proactive attitude and confirmation of personal skills able to cope with the demands of employment or training.
