Thanks for Your Support in 2016

We look back on 2016 with gratitude and humility at the growing number of people we have been able to serve and love. We have had literally hundreds of people receive our support via regional centre activity and our floating support team during the last 12 months. As much as it is true to say that the demand for our services is growing at a rapid rate and the number of people requiring our help is on the rise, it is our honour and privilege to be positioned to ably respond on their behalf.

We have taken great joy in witnessing relationships be reconciled, offenders turn from their old ways, the homeless housed, the long-term unemployed gain work, addicts become freed, and physical and mental health restored.

Being able to scale up our organisation in response to the increasing number of people requiring our help has been the main challenge during 2016 and we have taken some significant steps to ensure we are equipped to work with larger numbers of service users without diluting the quality of our support that sets us apart.

One of the highlights of the year was the publishing of two independent pieces of analysis measuring the impact of our work on behalf of people with multiple and complex needs. It was proven that we do indeed work with some of the nation’s hardest to reach individuals and are effective at empowering them to achieve long-term positive change to their lives and circumstances. With an impressive Social Return on Investment of £10 to every £1 invested, we present a compelling case for further investment into us as an organisation as we look to accelerate our growth over the coming year.

2017 looks to be a very exciting year for us all at Street Soccer Academy with four new regional centres in the pipeline for launch in the New Year. Strong partnerships have been forged with Public Health England, local councils, colleges, housing associations, emergency services, and Community Rehabilitation Companies further strengthening the mutual aid network that we operate within. Such associations have enabled us to become strategically positioned to make a significant difference in Greater Manchester and Lancashire alongside some influential partners.

Thank you for your support and interest in our work over the past 12 months. We hope you will continue to keep us in the forefront of your mind as we extend our reach in the North of England over the coming months and help more less-fortunate individuals receive the opportunity to gain control of their lives and fulfill their full potential.

We wish you all a very Happy Christmas and prosperous New Year.
