MYPROTEIN – Fuelling Ambition

Based in Northwich, Cheshire, Myprotein is the world’s number one online sports nutrition brand and for 2016 has committed to supporting three fundraising events on behalf to raise valuable funds on behalf of Street Soccer Academy.

Treadmill copy 2The first two of these events will take place on 10th/11th June at Life Leisure Houldsworth Village in Stockport. A team from Myprotein will take part in Soccer 24, Street Soccer Academy’s Premier fundraiser, taking on the SSA Rep Team in the twenty-four hour marathon. Alongside this, staff from Myprotein will undertake the ‘Treadmill challenge’, keeping a running treadmill operative for a full twenty-four hours. All in all, this fundraising double-header will again demonstrate the total commitment of the Myprotein staff to literally go the ‘extra mile’ in their support of the ongoing work of Street Soccer Academy.

Later in the summer Myprotein will field a team in a charity football match, to be played at West Didsbury & Chorlton FC, against a celebrity XI, again with all proceeds to go to Street Soccer Academy.

Simon is Street Soccer Academy's Chief Operating Officer and is co-founder of the organisation as a limited company and UK registered charity. He is responsible for the development of Street Soccer Academy's corporate brand and acquisition of the prestigious Football Association Charter Standard. Prior to involvement with Street Soccer Academy Simon was a director of Ambassadors in Sport and has a wealth of experience in grassroots football, as a player, coach, club chairman and having worked widely across the UK, USA, Europe and Asia. He has a vast knowledge of running major tournaments and festivals, having organised the National Christian Football Festival for a number of years and as an executive comittee member of the National Christian Cup. Simon is also responsible for devising the unique Soccer 24 fundraising concept, now used to raise funds for charities worldwide.
